Hi Patty,

Thanks for coming back! Yes, you measure the 1/2 cup of chia seed before grinding, and if you grind your own rice flour, you use a cup and a half of brown rice. Thanks for pointing that out, cuz I didn't think to include that. I haven't measured out the ground chia seed or brown rice because I've ground whole wheat before and found that the ground amount was really about the same as the measured grain. I just kinda assumed that's the way it worked with ground chia and ground rice. In any case, this works to make a very nice loaf. Next time I make it (which will probably be tomorrow), I think I'm gonna measure the flour I make just to see if it's the same amount as the grain.

After I finish my anti-candida cleanse, I may try and see how this recipe works with yeast added. You can make yeasted bread with the Nuchia flour, so I imagine if you make yer own chia and rice flour mix, you could do it with that, to.

One more thing -- a really good and relatively inexpensive source of chia is Raw Food World at http://www.rawveganbooks.com/. That's where I get mine.

Anyway, thanks again for stopping by and let me know how the chia bread works out for ya!

Thanks for sharing your chia bread making adventures - I'm looking forward to trying this recipe...
Did you measure 1/2c chia seeds before grinding? (Often the measure will be different post grinding.)
